Daily Blog – June 21: A Little Paint, A Lot of Joy
There’s something magical about transforming a blank wooden canvas into a cheerful, hand-painted treasure. Today, I spent the afternoon prepping a batch of rustic wood blanks for an upcoming door hanger workshop—and let me tell you, the smell of sawdust and acrylic paint just feels like home.
I love days like these. They’re messy in the best way. Paintbrushes scattered across the table, a playlist humming in the background, and creativity flowing like coffee. (Which I also drank… a lot of. 😄)
Every swirl of paint adds a little personality to these wooden shapes, and knowing they’ll hang on someone’s door and bring a smile makes it all worth it. Whether it’s a “Merry Christmas” sign or a floral summer hello, the process is just as beautiful as the finished piece.
If you’ve never painted your own door hanger—what are you waiting for? I walk you through it step by step in my eBook, and we even host fun workshops to guide you through the process, no experience needed!
✨ Stay creative, friends. Remember—every day is a blank canvas.
📌 Today’s Tip: Seal your finished wood pieces with a clear matte spray to protect your art from moisture and UV damage. It makes a huge difference!
